The Beneficial Effects of Massage for Cancer Patients
The human touch is powerful. In fact, research shows that therapeutic massage can relieve pain, anxiety, fatigue and nausea for cancer patients. It benefits have also improved stress and immunity levels and eased other symptoms experienced by patients battling cancer.
The Natural Touch offers therapeutic massage called Comfort Touch as a service to cancer patients and their caregivers at our location. We have been at our location for going on 8 years. Our clients enjoy our serene atmosphere and state that they feel safe in our care.
Massage helps deal with the pain, stress and emotional side-effects that often accompany cancer. In recent studies those cancer patients that added alternative methods to compliment hospital treatment showed improved healing.
Massage therapy has also been found to reduce side effects such as fatigue, depression and nausea associated with chemotherapy and radiation.
